You are supposed to get an item called a flash pass if you pull a dublicate SS skin, this pass is used to upgrade your owned SS skins and 5 are required to unlock its EX variant
Right, and built from the game's own tables. Since 2026-10-04 a duplicate SS mecha skin from a lottery becomes a Flash Pass (instead of exchange tokens), and the upgrade screen of an SS skin works: each pass step unlocks the next look (1 + 1 passes). The last step, the EX weapon effect (3 passes), is not available yet - it is refused and your passes stay.
